- 1.What are the EU’s key strategic objectives for the forthcoming Conference of the Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), which will be held in Uzbekistan from 24 November to 5 December 2025?
- 2.The revised EU action plan against wildlife trafficking guides new EU actions against wildlife trafficking in the period to 2027. These include addressing the root causes of wildlife trafficking, strengthening the legal framework, enforcing regulations and policies and strengthening global partnerships. What is the status of the plan’s implementation since its adoption in 2022? In particular, what progress has been made in addressing the shortcomings identified in the fight against the illegal wildlife trade and in increasing the effectiveness of that fight?
