An increasing number of European leaders are calling for the war to be brought to an end, in view of of the enormous number of casualties and the massive material damage. However, there are a number of different views and positions on how this should be done, as well as varying opinions on Ukraine’s EU membership.

What is the Commission’s strategy for bringing the war to an end, with a view to preserving human life and providing practical support for Ukraine on its path towards full European integration, while ensuring transparency, democratic accountability and the implementation of the necessary reforms?
