Meeting with the President of Kenya, William Ruto

The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, met today with the President of Kenya, William Ruto, in the margins of the United Nations Food Systems Summit in Addis Ababa.

The meeting provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on the status of bilateral relations, starting with the excellent collaboration through initiatives in the sectors of agriculture, energy, and education and training, launched as part of the Mattei Plan for Africa.

The discussion also highlighted President Ruto’s appreciation for the support provided by the Italian Government regarding both energy and urban infrastructure.

At the end of the meeting, the two leaders agreed to continue working together to foster stability in the eastern region of the African continent.
