Question for written answer  E-003201/2025
to the Vice-President of the Commission / High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy
Rule 144
Nicolás González Casares (S&D)

The promotion of peace is the ultimate goal of all European Union foreign policy. All initiatives aimed at compelling the Netanyahu government to respect international humanitarian law and international law in general have failed, and external action aimed at promoting peace in the Middle East is ineffective.

In light of the above:

  • 1.Is the Vice-President of the Commission / High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy not considering resigning in view of the inability to rectify this failure in relation to the Israeli government and the Middle East?
  • 2.How many more people need to be murdered for a shift in foreign policy vis-à-vis the Netanyahu government to be considered?
