Holy See Press Office Press Release: Audience with the President of the Republic of the Seychelles, 22.08.2025
Today, 22 August 2025, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV received in Audience, in the Apostolic Palace, the President of the Republic of Seychelles, His Excellency Wavel Ramkalawan, who subsequently met with His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State, accompanied by Monsignor Mirosław Stanisław Wachowski, Undersecretary for Relations with States.
During the cordial talks at the Secretariat of State, the good relations between the Holy See and Seychelles were noted. Attention was then given to certain aspects of the country’s political and socio-economic situation, especially its collaboration with the local Church concerning the environment, healthcare and education, with a particular focus on the formation of the archipelago’s young people.
During the conversation, there was also an exchange of views on regional and international issues, highlighting the importance of promoting dialogue and cooperation among nations.
