The CULT Committee will hold the first presentation by the Commission of the interim report on the implementation of the current Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027 and the proposal for Erasmus+ programme for the period 2028-2034 as part of its Committee meeting on 24 September 2025. The interim report and the proposal were published in July.
The proposal was in the first batch of the MFF sectoral proposals, and it is a result of a merge between Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. Erasmus+ is not only the flagship file for the CULT Committee, but also the most recognisable funding programme of the Union. It reaches more European citizens than any other EU initiative, and it directly fosters a European sense of belonging. The important work on this piece of legislation will continue in the months ahead.
