On 2 June, Lithuania will host the Vilnius Summit to discuss support to Ukraine and key issues ahead of the NATO Summit in The Hague on 24–25 June.
NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will also be in attendance.
“The Vilnius Summit is an important opportunity to discuss support to Ukraine and transatlantic security ahead of the NATO Summit in The Hague. Strong deterrence and defence, transatlantic cohesion and continued support to Ukraine are all important parts of strengthening Sweden’s security,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard.
The Summit will gather heads of state and government from Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Sweden.
Ms Malmer Stenergard will stand in for Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson at the Summit.
