The China Delegation (D-CN) will hold an ordinary meeting jointly with the Delegation to the EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee (D-RU) on Thursday 25 September 2025 at 9:00-11:00 in Brussels.
As main topic on the draft agenda there will be held an exchange of views on the Russia-China “alliance” in a multipolar world and its impact on Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine with the participation of:
- Mr Gunnar Wiegand, former Managing Director for Asia-Pacific (EEAS 2016-2023), Visiting Professor at the College of Europe, Bruges and at Sciences Po Paris, Visiting Distinguished Fellow German Marshall Fund, Brussels;
- Ms Natalie Sabanadze, Senior Research Fellow in the Russia and Eurasia programme at Chatham House, former Ambassador of Georgia to the EU, remote participation; and
- Mr Jakub Janda, Director of the European Values Center for Security Policy, remote participation
