Minister for International Development and the Diaspora, Neale Richmond TD, will visit Malawi this week to see the impact of Ireland’s development programme and to engage with Ambassadors from across the region on building trade, political and development links across the continent.
The Minister will also meet with Malawi’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. George Chaponda, and will visit Irish Aid programmes focused on food security and nutrition in rural areas.

Ireland now has fourteen Embassies across Africa, twelve of them in sub-Saharan Africa. Two-way trade between Ireland and countries across Africa is growing year-on-year and now stands at some €9 billion annually.
